My dads illness was c.o.p.d a lung disorder.My father was brought up in Ardoyne in a family of 6 and
was a very keen footballer he played at irish league level. As the troubles took their tole on
people my farther Like all the men he knew wanted what was best for his children. We were brought
up in the New Lodge, in alexander house no.7 . what good times we had there.My dad was a very
thoughtful man who done alot for his communit after a number of years my father opened a taxi firm
on the oldpark road (Parktaxis) it opened in 1981,twenty years later my father took ill .He battled
c.o.p.d for 8 long years until he could rally no more. I got a phone call at 4.oclock on easter
monday 2007, it was my niece saying uncle john please help me my granda is not breathing, (I new it
was bad). When i got down to my fathers home he was lying dead in the hall. That vision will never
leave my mind. Three days later my father was buried with full honours it was to be the hardest day
of my life,it wasnt,it was the proudest day of my life. He is so missed by everyone its unreal but
he always said when he dies he will not be getting anything that other good people havent got.

Hi Granda how are you? Well its 2 year anniversary granda but to be honest its like yesterday. Your always in my thoughts and prayers...keep watching over everyone and keep us safe and healthy and if you notice anybody struggling today give them a wee lift to get them through it... well mate i no i havent talk to you in a wile sorry about that.I only got to know you for a wile but the time i had with you was very importent to me an i will never forget you an will you do me a faver just let my mummy know even no i cant remmber ever looking at her i will love her for the rest off my life.An i know that you will be having a ball with my granny about old times.

Good morning granda how r ya today? Sorry havent been on in while the last couple of months have been so busy.The house is looking really well we have most of the work done just the spare bedroom and a few wee odds and ends to do really...So all in all things are good just have to try and get a new job now because my contract here ends in december so have to make sure the bills are covered haha cant be slacking.

hi john boy wots cookin sorry i havnt been on this in a while time just seems to be flyin by. miss u so much ciaran hs is sweet give him a we bit of a hand with it but u no me i like to supervisour thse types of jobs. doin well in my new job my manager says he didnt expect me to be so far in their so fingers crossed i get made perm. every1s doin well. i suppose u no about m.campbell jesus granda were does it stop thats y im just gonna live life to the full(like i always do and have done). josie seems to be ok lately but sure u never really no with her she like me keeps her feelin hiden which some time is better i think, but 1 thing is for sure i miss u more now than i did wen u died. nxt thing we know it will be your bday and no cards or gifts we can give but just a stupid verse in the nbns thats the hardest thing.ps hope u like the tat i no u disagree with but i thought it would be nice as a mark of respect for everythin u gave me, which i didnt truely realise till u got ure wish and went to a better place with no pain.over and out luv ya

Hey granda how r ya???just a message to say hello and that im thinkn of ya...things r goin well everybody still has there bad days but there all as happy as they can be and doing their best...me and cath are just about to buy our 1st house together so really looking 4ward to that, and i no ur probably up there laughing saying what are u doin wee lad but dnt worry theres no wedding bells yet haha.. It needs bita work but nothing to serious and we will hopefully b moved in the next couple of weeks..Granda seamus got his operation and he's doing well he's recovered quicker than expected which is good sign..kathleen is finishing her exams tomorrow and she cant wait shes had about a dozen tests, i finished my course last week and passed and leeann finished her 1st year of uni as well, tony is working away and is doin very well and sean finishes P3 next week and hes getting bigger by the day haha...
